I ended up hanging up phone call with this person and called back and asked for sales. After going back online and trying to place an order online it gave me a error code which told me that only one order can be placed on my account. So, I contacted customer service. They transferred me to sales and I went ahead and I, placed my first order with them on the phone giving them my debit card and my information and giving them permission to place my order over the phone.

After placing my order, I asked the sales representative to send me a confirmation to my email to show me that the order was placed by her over the phone. Your, sales representative informed me that a confirmation email will be sent out to me. Since writing this email to you, I still as of yet to receive any information indicating my purchase that was placed over the phone was ever made.

I'm not sure if this is how your customer service works or how your customer service representatives are allowed to speak to your customers but you guys can do a lot better in the way you speak to your customers and how you treat them. I was sent form letter responses to my queries, and none of them addressed my questions! Unbelievable, uncaring "customer service" Not even a bra or a necklace Not a bluetooth speaker, nor even earbuds.

No one gives a care at this company, and no one will actually attempt to fill an order for me. My experience with Fingerhut has been fabulous and just as I expected. If you don't want to pay higher prices and interest, go buy the product outright rather than expecting to order it online for a small down payment and the ability to pay over time - especially from a company that specializes in credit building - at the same price you'd pay in a store.

Fingerhut is basically an online rent-to-own center without the ability to return the products. As always, if you take the time to carefully read the terms, you'll have the right expectations going in. If you pay your bills on time, and more than just the minimum, your credit improves. If you don't pay bills on time, or if you skate by with just minimum payments and a maxed-out account, your credit suffers. If you don't use the account for long periods of time, the company will reduce your credit limit as MANY credit card companies do.

Many of the reviews here are indicative of poor credit management, which is why many not all should be disregarded. Fingerhut has always been wonderful to me, and they helped me get my credit back on track after a period of bad decisions.

I will continue to use the service every few months just to keep the credit line open - and honestly some of their clearance prices on towels, sheets, etc. I have been a member of Fingerhut for over a year. I started with their FreshStart account and moved to their revolving line account. I had no issues in the transition, although if you have to contact customer support; you will be met with broken English 3rd world country representatives as most companies use these 3rd world countries.

I've been respected and haven't had much issue in regards to speaking to them maybe having to ask them to repeat themselves. Now onto the products: The products you get really depend on the seller.

It's always a good idea to research the product and look for reviews like on Youtube before purchasing.

The prices tend to fall on the heftier side and returning anything as with most places is a hassle. The website itself is easy to navigate, handling your account is a breeze with the mobile app or using online. They have a wide variety of well known products from retailers like Nike, Kruger, Black and Decker tools, and more.

I asked them to close my account due to this outrageous behavior and now they tell me it will be another days before the refund is issued! In less than a month the hard drive crashes, so I call and told them I was returning it, and a very rude woman told me that I had the computer for a month and couldn't return it and I told why am I going to pay for a computer that the hard drive crashes after a month, a hard drive shouldn't crashes that fast, I did some research.

Hard drives should last at for 3 to 4 yrs if not longer, but anyway I have already return the computer, but they still expect me to make payment on an order I have return Never again will I buy anything from Fingerhut. The headaches isn't worth it. I then did an online credit application and was, to my surprise, declined with a follow-up message that I would receive a letter of explanation in the mail in a few days. I have a good credit score and FICO score with no negative remarks of any kind, and with an impeccable payment history.

My objection and question is why did this company go to the trouble of pre-approving me for a credit line and then refuse my application?! Secondly, is my application considered to be a "hard pull"? Returned an item, and was billed a return charge for the item in question.

Called customer service promptly when I received my bill. Was placed on hold several times for long periods of time. I could go on. This is review for folks to learn by This company is crazy. I paid off my account because things are so expensive. I have not ordered anything in a while. I tried ordering something for my husband which was a good price. I called to place a order the person said, "Your account has been closed for not ordering.

And start all over again. No more Fingerhut for me. Do not use Fingerhut. After completing my purchase which ended up costing twice as much than paying cash. They offer you the chance to build up your credit and then they ruin it!! Beware of Fingerhut and do not use their service because you will be one of the many unhappy customers.

Fingerhut has completely destroyed my credit. I used them to help build my credit. After paying my balance off on time every month it showed on my credit report that it was closed as a derogatory mark on my report.

I Was informed that was not to their concern. That there wasn't anything they could do for me To make matters worse my purchases were low quality for the prices they charge. I would not recommend this site to build your credit. Doing business with Fingerhut has been a nightmare. I only purchased their overpriced product to improve my credit score.

Their incompetent accounting has had negative impact on my credit. I've contacted them three times, and three times they said it would be corrected. Also I disputed this through Credit Karma three times and have had no results. I had one Freshstart account with them. Paid it off on time with timely payments but when I tried to order something new, I had to start all over again. And now that I, once again made every payment on time and paid off the balance they still have not given me a revolving credit line, just an offer to start a new Freshstart account for the 3RD time!

I was liking Fingerhut until I forgot to make my payment last night. I think they overall have good quality products, even though I was already concerned about their exorbitant shipping costs.

They gave me a credit increase after only 3 months of on-time payments, which I thought was pretty nice, if maybe a little too premature of a decision on their part.

The issues come up when one forgets or cannot afford to make a payment. Her tone was threatening and she stated without ANY input from me, "You are going to make this payment on Friday, right? I am ONE day late, experienced a very bad day yesterday, was just planning on calling Fingerhut to apologize and make a payment arrangement, AND this is how I am treated now?

I eventually got her to understand, and accept a payment from me, and she also waived my late fee, but this was after I lost my cool and we went around for over 10 minutes. I am done with Fingerhut now.

I am just going to pay off my account and go elsewhere I hope this review helps other people to stay away from this company and most other "extended credit" online and catalog shopping companies. My husband ordered me a ring set from Fingerhut. After wearing for a week, the main stone broke off. I spoke with the English-Lacking Customer Representatives, only to find out that they will not exchange or refund me for the ring since it is the main stone.

So now I am left owing a lot of money on a ring that I cannot even wear. I am highly disappointed and would recommend everyone to stay far away from this company!

I attempted a purchase in March. Never received the item and called to advise them. I was told to get a police report. I mailed it as I was told and received phone calls a day regarding a delinquent account. I would tell the reps repeatedly with broken English that I did not receive the item and have sent the police report.

I emailed it last week and was told the time frame expired and the case is closed. I owe for a product that was never received. Join our community to stay up-to-date with the latest reviews, recall notices, and brand recommendations.
