Management could be improved but overall a great place to work. Coordinate travel arrangements and create expense reports in a timely manner After September, there are only 26 jobs that aren't "call center phone representative", no advancement in the local area. The call lasted about 45 mins If that. I was informed that I would be moving to the next phase for the Face-to-Face interview the very next day. I arrived about 20 mins early. They want you there about 15 mins earlier than appointment My interview went very well in the beginning. It was a two way conversation. I was asked to talk about myself and then we went into the my formal part of the interview. More so past experiences. For example, " What did you do", How did you handle a situation with an irrate customer and what were the results based on your actions".
Overall it was a great experience. My interview was on a Friday. I was told I would be contacted in about three days. I am still waiting to hear something. I am hopeful that I would get the offer. I was emailed about a week after applying. The application process is a series of test to determine your behavioral patterns.
There was also a mock setup of what it would be like to take calls from home. The 1st interview was done by an app called HireVue. You will be sent a link with instructions on how to download app and what to do. The interview consisted of a series of questions record by a woman and you get minutes to answer.
She advised me to research behavioral interviews and too have some answers prepared to some of those questions. The interview was scheduled for the very next day. I was called for the third person the next afternoon and she explained the interview would take about 30 minutes. She explained she would ask me questions about situations and I needed to give her step by step what I had done.
I had Googled behavioral questions and had wrote down some questions along with some answers. The best way to answer these questions is by the STAR method. Please research that and you will do great. At the end I was able to ask questions and then she said it would be a week before I knew one way or another. I was called exactly a week from the previous date and was offered the job. I was given four schedules to choose from and the offer was contingent upon my background check.
Start date about a month from offer date. The process took a week. It was quick and easy. I did the online video interview which asked simple questions relating to experience and why I'd like the job. I received a call from the recruiter same day very shortly after. She explained details about the job and we set up a phone interview with the hiring manager.
And 4 business days later I received the offer and options of shifts to choo'se from. I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I was emailed a few days after I applied inviting me to the interview.
Interview was virtual and answers were recorded. Interview process was impersonal but efficient. I did not receive an offer nor an explanation as to why. The interview process was great. These positions are answering high-level customer service calls. If you pass the screening, you will be directed to online assessments and 'mock' phone calls.
You will need to complete the 'mock' session in a quiet environment as you will need to concentrate on your responses. If that is completed successfully, you'll receive a follow-up phone interview. That was a little more intense and consisted mostly of behavioral-based interview questions. There is role-play question at the end where you will need to demonstrate your ability to resolve a customer concern.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One in July Long and drawn out , for such an easy entry level Position. Also note that the hiring manger asked me why I left a job in we are talking 15 years ago!? Why is that even relevant. Would you like us to review something? Was this review helpful? Very productive, mangement in some departments were very negative and rude. Good benefits, job security is not promised. They did set up fun events to appreciate their employees. Work life balance could be better. Great pay and benefits Fun Annual review Productive Great team engagement activities Free food lots of days Great morale within Great place to grow Would highly recommend. Excellent company, plenty of growth opportunities. Open door policies- you can talk with management.
Closeness with team members. Tuition - paid, holidays are paid. Overall, I highly recommend Capital One! It's a very flexible environment with a great work-life balance. ICs on my team could work from home often days a week when needed, and managers are generally flexible when life needs come up.
There can often be too many meetings though which interrupts time for deep work. Subsidized lunch, flexible work environment, fun, good co-workers, Wlb. Capitalone is a great to work. I like the mission statement '' Bringing Humanity to banking" Great place to work - Great manager - great team. Capital care about they employees. Help employees to get promoted. Exciting rewarding company that helps you grow in your career. Attending conference calls, learned computer tactics, managed special regional events, worked with positive motivated colleagues.
My hardest part of my job was to multitasking different events, meetings, and organizing PowerPoints while completing at a deadline. I got to attend and participant in large events and meet high end leaders and network with different positions in the company. I am recognized as one of the leaders of the region. The culture is pretty competitive; leaning on the fly and not a comprehensive training program. It's a good company for self starters and independent workers.
Decent place to work. I worked for Capital One at a center called Sykes. We answered inbound calls to help customers with their credit cards, my role was helping mostly new customers.
We did get rewarded for meeting stats and not making any errors, which was nice but advancement wasn't very easy. My biggest issue was if you were sick you either had to be to work, make up your time if they had time available or take a point. Sickness circled around ALL the time because everyone came to work when the clearly should have been home.
They did give a thing called life happens, which equaled out to 2 hours per month if something were to go wrong, like a flat tire etc that you wouldn't be in trouble for. The other issue was it is almost impossible to get your schedule changed. I had tried for several months to change my schedule to something that fit my and my families needs better, I even tried 2 different schedules, I constantly got denied as I watched others get the schedule I asked for who started and asked after me.
Things also changed a lot! I was hired through a temp agency, and a month before my short term assignment was supposed to be over, they told us we had 9 days to find another job.
I was not happy with how you work really hard to obtain a position and then you get laid off after you get promoted as well as the rating system, the rating system is designed to have a certain percent of associates fail a yearly review compared to everyone else even if they are performing their job to the required standards.
Great Place To Work. The people are friendly and processes are clear and concise.
